Rest Day

I missed a day of blogging! i typically write these in the later portions of the day, and I fell asleep at like 8:30 last night.

I needed a rest day! with working a brand new full-time position and trying to reinvent my life habits, I have slowly grown exhausted. I just needed a day to rest and not do so much.

This is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it’s proven to be a good thing to help for long term productivity. feeding the primal urge of your brain to relax is one of the easiest ways to discipline yourself into building a steadier habit. By taking frequent and intentional breaks, as well as acknowledging your acceptance of them, you can allow yourself to hop into the next day as productive as ever.

So give yourself some kind of rest. It also aligns with my 70% rule, which I guess I am going to have to write a post on soon.

Have a great Sunday guys! Rest easy if that’s your speed today, I know Sunday typically ends up as my napping day.

If it isn’t your speed, tell me what you plan to do on Sundays! Let me know the last time you decided to take a day away from work, and the last time your brain decided for you! Thanks for reading. <3

  1. Stephen Covey’s last habit in “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is to sharpen the saw. Basically, taking the time to renew and refresh so that you can return to whatever task with appropriate focus.

I’m great at reading things like that.
