Authorial Intent Doesn't Matter

daily_041; 24 years

I turn 24 tomorrow.

It’s been an incredibly interesting year. Lots of hard things, lots of good. Mostly just a lot of growth.

I learned who I am, what I like, and how fluid that really can be.

I learned what life looks like when you decide to listen to yourself, and when you decide what’s actually important to you. And, sometimes more importantly, what is not important at all.

I learned how to endure, and when to surrender.

I learned that I’m never going to stop learning how to endure, or when to surrender. It’s not a destination journey, but a “checkpoint” journey, like paying your taxes, or eating food. Yeah, there’s an endpoint for those things, but it’s all at the same big ENDing, right?

I’ve finished 24 years here. If you’re reading this post, thanks for being a part of any of them. I hope you’ll stay that way.

The 25th should be fun. And hard. I’ll learn a lot, again.

Another checkpoint is past tonight.
